Pedigree horses
Even though attention of the media and horse-racing fans is exclusively focused on performance of the horse on racetrack, or success as sire (in case of male horses), a bit of publicity is given to the brood mares as well. This thing has occurred in case of ‘La Troienne’, who is reported to be one amongst the most significant mares belonging to the twentieth century. You might know that most of the supreme champions, dams of the champions can be traced to La Troienne.
In majority of flat horse races, exclusive of steeplechases, horse’s pedigree is amongst the things allowing it of racing.
